Learn Electric Guitar Tips
The correct Posture
One thing it is very important to do if you want to learn electric guitar is to maintain good posture when playing. You’ll get nowhere if you just slouch in front of the telly while you play, or lay down on your bed. It is vital that you know the correct way to hold the guitar so you don’t injure yourself by straining your shoulders or your back.
Make sure to sit up straight and rest the guitar on your legs. A good armless chair is good for this, while players who prefer to sit in the classical position might consider getting a foot rest for their left foot to rest on while they hold the guitar.
Proper Picking
Another tip to help you learn electric guitar is to learn how to hold your pick properly. Ideally, when using a pick to play the guitar, you will hold it firmly but a little loose. If you hold it too tightly, you can risk tiring your arm too quickly. If you don’t hold it tightly enough, you might have problems with the pick falling out of your hand or worse yet, falling into the guitar (which is never fun to fish out).
